Valfréjus - The Replaton circuit |

Starting from Modane or Fourneaux, why
not go to the famous Maison penchée (Leaning House) ? You just
can't miss it, and it's a nice place for a stop. A little higher,
the monumental entrance to the first railway tunnel will also
amaze you.. Once arrived at the Replaton fort, on the other side
of the valley, you will be rewarded by an exceptional panorama
of the valley with, down below, Modane-Fourneaux and, on the other
side, the resort of Valfréjus.

Difficulty

 Take
the road to Valfréjus, starting from the Les Combes campsite in
Modane You will soon arrive at the famous Maison Penchée, followed
by the grand entrance to the first railway tunnel.
Pass the bridge over the access road to the Frejus tunnel, and
turn right on to the trail that leads down to Fourneaux.
Cross the town and the river and climb the trail to the Replaton
fort. After a short halt to discover the panorama, ride down to
Modane on a nice but very rocky trail.

Take A43 all the way and RN6 to Modane-Fourneaux.
