- The three lakes |

A day route, extensible to 2 days with
a night in a mountain hut, between the village of St-Sorlin and
the glacier at the foot of l'Etendard. Three lakes nested under
a glacier punctuate the way for the seeker of wild and vertical
landscapes. The Argentieres range and Pic de l'Etendard, with
its 3468 m, will take your breath away !

 From
the Prés-Plan path, you will follow a legendary route under the
imposing massif des "Perrons". The Transmaurienne 98 race lived
its finest moments there.
From the pass dominating the three lakes, go down towards the
Etendard hut (CAF), where you can spend the night if you wish,
although it is wise to make reservations. There begins the circuit
around the lakes, on the left bank of lake Bramant, then on to
the concrete dam above the hut on a less steep and narrow trail.

D 926 to St-Sorlin d'Arves.
